MII Supplier Portal: How Supplier Self-Service Works in MII ERP+

In most companies, the purchase cycle generates a steady stream of phone calls and emails that nobody plans for. Suppliers ask whether a PO has been approved, buyers chase delivery dates, stores are surprised by trucks at the gate, and accounts spend their afternoons answering payment queries.
The MII Supplier Portal is the supplier self-service portal of MII ERP+. It gives each supplier a secure window into their own business with you, live from the ERP, and lets them do their part of the work themselves. This article walks through how it works, step by step.
One Portal, Live from the ERP
The MII Supplier Portal is built on Oracle Technology products, on the same Oracle database as MII ERP+. There is no separate copy of data to synchronise: when a buyer approves a PO, a store posts a GRN or accounts releases a payment, the supplier sees it immediately.
Suppliers sign in with their own MII user, and every screen shows only that supplier's data. Your purchasing team can open the portal from the MII Navigator without signing in again, so they see exactly what the supplier sees.
A Day in the Life of a Purchase Order
1. The Supplier Sees the Approved PO
As soon as a purchase order is approved in MII ERP+, it appears in the supplier's portal with every line, price, tax and term. Each line shows its delivery schedule: what is due, what is overdue and what is still to be dispatched. No more emailed PDFs or "please confirm receipt of PO" calls.
2. Quotations Arrive Online
When your buyers issue a request for quotation, suppliers answer it in the portal: prices, tax categories, validity and remarks. Taxes are calculated the way the ERP calculates them, so quotations are comparable. Submitted quotations go straight into MII ERP+ for comparison, and suppliers can revise them while the RFQ is open. Nothing needs to be re-typed.
3. The Supplier Raises an ASN Before Dispatch
Before goods leave the supplier's premises, they raise an advance shipping notice (ASN) against the PO schedule, with the invoice or challan number, transporter, vehicle, LR and e-way bill details, and quantities. The portal never allows them to ship more than the open quantity plus the agreed tolerance, and a delivery challan can be printed from the ASN.
Your stores team now knows what is arriving, and when, before the truck reaches the gate.
4. Gate Entry and GRN Are Matched Automatically
When the truck arrives, your gate and stores teams work exactly as they do today. MII ERP+ matches each ASN to the gate entry and GRN using the supplier's invoice number, so there is no change to your receiving process. The supplier watches the ASN move from in transit to received, GRN done or rejected, line by line.
5. Invoices and Payments Are Visible
Once invoices are booked, suppliers see the amount payable after deductions, what has been paid, what is outstanding, due dates and payment status. Each payment shows its date, method and cheque or UTR number. Payment queries to accounts drop sharply.
6. Everything on One Dashboard
The supplier's home page brings it together: open POs, schedules due in the next seven days, overdue schedules, ASNs awaiting GRN, and outstanding and overdue payables.
What Changes for Your Teams
- Buyers stop answering status calls and spend their time on sourcing and negotiation.
- Stores plan receiving in advance and face fewer surprises at the gate.
- Quality and receiving have fewer disputes, because ASN, gate entry and GRN line up automatically.
- Accounts field far fewer payment queries.
- Management gets a more disciplined, transparent supply chain.
What Changes for Your Suppliers
- They see approved POs and schedules as soon as they are released
- They can quote quickly and accurately against RFQs
- They know exactly which deliveries are due and overdue
- They can see receipt and rejection status without calling
- They can track invoices and payments for themselves
Suppliers who can see where they stand tend to deliver better and trust you more, which often leads to better terms.
